Michelle Stevens founded ELITE MEDICAL in 2010. Michelle has over 28 years of experience in the medical industry.  A BS/BA degree in Business MGMT and Human Resource MGMT.  She is a certified professional compliance officer, certified physician practice management, professional billing, and has specialized training in credentialing and RCM.  In her spare time, she enjoys camping and hiking, spending time with her friends and family, reading, running, yin-yoga, and painting.  

 Melanie has over 25 years of experience in medical billing and coding; working in numerous specialties.  Melanie is a certified coder and physician educator, and has been with Elite Medical since 2019.  Melanie has been with Elite Medical since 2019 and is well-versed in Athena and AdvancedMD systems.  In her spare time, she enjoys camping with her friends and family, golfing, and working on self-care.

Rachel Pitcher began her journey in medical billing and coding as an AAPC Xtern program with Elite Medical, and now serves as an Account Manager. She received training in coding and billing from SUNY Queens EOC and shortly thereafter obtained her CPC-A certification. Her prior experience as a home health aide, gives her a strong foundation in patient care. While new to the administrative side of healthcare, she is eager to expand her expertise in coding and billing alongside a knowledgeable and supportive team.  

Committed to staying current with evolving medical standards and technology, she brings an empathetic, creative, and flexible approach to her work.  

Outside of the office, she enjoys getting out of the city to spend time in nature with her husband and son, volunteering in the community, and sharing laughs with friends.

Ashley Ross is a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) with over five years of experience in medical coding, specializing in back-end coding across multiple specialties. She began her career at Tanner Clinic, where she coded for 25 different specialties, gaining extensive cross-functional knowledge and developing expertise in charge accuracy, insurance claim denials, and multi-specialty coding workflows.

Additionally, Ashley was the lead and sole coder for a Breast Care Center at Granger Medical Clinic. In addition to her primary role, she was also coding support for three ultrasound clinics and two family practice providers. She loves managing insurance claim denials, supporting special projects, and ensuring coding compliance and accuracy across departments.

Ashley is a natural problem solver who thrives on the analytical nature of coding. She sees each coding scenario as a unique puzzle and takes pride in delivering efficient, accurate solutions. She is preparing to begin the Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) program at the start of next year to further enhance her skills in medical auditing and compliance.

Outside of her professional life, Ashley is a dedicated mother of three, a passionate runner, and an avid fan of movies, books, and live concerts.

 Emma Ashbaugh began her journey in medical coding and billing as an Extern with Elite Medical working with Michelle and Danielle. She has been an EMT since 2011 and wanted to further her knowledge and be able to stay at home with her 4 kids. She received training through Marion Technical College online for Anatomy and obtained her CPC through AAPC. She is looking to further her certifications and obtain her CPB and CPMA.  Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, an outdoors enthusiast and loves horses. 

Stacie has a BA degree in Public Health and completed her Medical Coding and Billing through OTECH. She has a strong passion for health and the medical field.  She is fascinated with the intricacies of medical coding and billing and is always eager to learn more. She started with Elite Medical in 2024.  In her spare time,  she enjoys creating memories with her family in the mountains, at the beach and at home.

 Aki has over ten years of work experience in the nutrition and food industry with a BS degree in nutrition and dietetics. She became a Certified Professional Coder through AAPC training program in 2025. Her new career as a medical coder started as an externship here at Elite Medical. She is passionate about working in the healthcare industry and learning new skills and knowledge every day. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, music, and spending time with her family and friends.  

 With more than 14 years of billing experience, Linda began her career as a Claims Analyst before advancing to a Billing Coordinator role within a nonprofit organization. In 2019, Linda expanded her commitment to patient care, by becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant, a role she continues to enjoy part-time. Since then, she's continued to strengthen her expertise through training in Credentialing and Medical Coding and am currently studying for her CPC certification while gaining additional hands‑on experience at Elite Medical. Outside of work, She enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her lovely family. 

Danielle has been with Elite Medical since 2012, at the start of her career in healthcare.  She has held positions as an account manager, coder, coding auditor, and currently is our coding consultant.  She consults with many organizations on coding guidelines, compliance, and how to maximum on reimbursements.  She collaborated with Michelle on our 2023 e-book release.  When Danielle is not coding, she enjoys spending time with her daughters and family, traveling, and being the outdoors.
